ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Area Primary Healthcare kicked off its first health fair.
Dozens of people attended the County Resource and Health Fair at the Albany Exchange Club Fairgrounds. People got their vision checked, health screenings and signed up for health insurance. There was also food and tons of activities for kids. One volunteer from Albany State University says she wanted to help others understand the importance of their health.
"I think it was very important for everyone to come out as far as the Albany community, Albany State so we can all impact the overall health of Albany, Ga," said Le'aaricka Hodge, volunteer.
Open enrollment for the Insurance Market Place begins November 15th through February 15th at any Albany Area Primary Healthcare facility.
