ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Who knows how long it will last, but two stores on Philema Road are engaged in petrol price battle.
The Easy Trip store, owned by Nikhil Patel, had it's opening this morning, and came out firing with reduced gas prices, so the Express Lane, nearby, dropped its price, too.
The stores see-sawed back and forth, and by the time WALB cameras arrived, the price of a gallon of regular was $2.48.
That's about 65¢ lower than the prices we saw this morning in East Albany.
Jason Pitts said he owns six stores, and he keeps his price competitive no matter what, he told WALB's Diane Dean and Sam Smith.
In addition to the low gas price, there's free pizza, too.
