THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Archbold Memorial Hospital is going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with its third annual Pink Affair on Friday.
It's a benefit fashion show with cancer survivors as the models.
Local boutiques will provide clothes for the models to show their support for the cause.
Cancer survivor and Archbold Breast Cancer Navigator Debbie Beeson says the models are what make the event.
"They get into it in ways that you would not believe," said Beeson. "They dance and they sing. We almost have to pull them off the stage sometimes. I love seeing their joy."
All proceeds will help cover the cost for those unable to afford a mammogram.
This is the first of many events Archbold has planned for breast cancer awareness month.
