Staff across the university system in Georgia gathered at Albany State today.
The program is celebrating its 20th year.
Judge Glenda Hatchet came down from Atlanta she was today's guest speaker.
Judge Hatchet was born and raised here and says South Georgia is dear to her heart.
Her message today was of hope for the future and gratitude for all that staff does to make a difference in students lives.
Kim Douglas the President of the staff council says
"We have a full day and 1/2 of activities and we pretty much focus on staff development."
Judge Hatchet says"I want them to be encouraged because some days I'm sure they're feeling why am I doing this why did I choose to do that and I want to just reaffirm for them how important your work is."
Wanda Thompson the Director of Open Arms in Albany is the guest speaker tonight.
