Albany vapor store offers reward for burglar

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -   Caught on camera, a burglar smashes the front door of an Albany e-cigarette store, but runs when the alarm goes off.

Albany Police now say the truck seen in surveillance video of the attempted break-in of Good Life Vapor in Albany was not involved in the crime. The driver of the truck told detectives a car in the parking lot matched the description of a vehicle he was looking to pick up.

The search for the man who broke in, then ran away empty handed, continues. He smashed the front door with a crowbar, runs inside, apparently cutting his leg on the jagged glass, and then runs away empty handed.

Good Life Vapor Retail Manager Ryan Ellsworth said "Want to do local business. It's really a shame that the city gets to the point where local businesses can't survive because people are breaking in."

Good Life Vapor is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the burglar. If you recognize him, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
