Viewpoint: General Election

The Dougherty County Board of Elections should re-think its decision to not allow voters to cast ballots on Sunday for the November 4th general election.

The Board of Elections says the cost of 11-hundred dollars and the availability of mail-in ballots were two of the reasons why they decided not to approve Sunday voting.

It is money well spent though in allowing everyone the chance to vote when their jobs or other issues prevent them from being at the polls on election day.

Dougherty County will have Saturday voting on October 25th and it seems only natural to have a second weekend day on the next day  to insure everyone has the chance to have their voice heard in the democratic process.
