COFFEE CO., GA (WALB) - Authorities are still investigating, and have not yet filed charges, after a man was shot twice early Saturday morning.

Coffee County deputies were called to a home on Bear Creek Road early Saturday, and found a partially clad woman sitting by the roadside, and a man shot, in the bathroom of the home.

The Coffee Co. Sheriff's report says the three deputies were told by Pamela Walker, 36,  that she had shot her boyfriend Bryan Pittman, 32,  twice after he beat her with a ball bat, and his fists.

She said that in course of being beaten by Pittman, she grabbed a pistol from the nightstand and shot Pittman twice in the abdomen.

The report says that Pittman ran into the bathroom and locked the door, and that Walker shot through the door twice, for fear that he would come back out. Walker then ran outside, nearly naked.

Pittman was found in the bathroom, and taken to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to recovered from the wounds.

The incident report lists felony counts of battery (domestic violence act) aggravated assault (domestic violence act)(gun), and obstructing or hindering persons making emergency telephone calls, and lists Pittman as the primary aggressor.

On September 27, 2014 Deputy Kerry Moore Jr responded to 50 Bear Creek Road lot 60 in reference to Domestic Dispute in progress. While en route to the location 911 advised that the male subject on scene had been shot.

Deputy Moore, Deputy Jamie Merritt, Deputy Rodney Courson Sr, and Sergeant Joshua Haselden arrived on scene shortly after the call was dispatched.

Deputy Moore noticed a female sitting out beside the road in front of the residence wearing only a bra and was crying. Deputy Moore made contact with the female, known to be Pamela Walker, and she advised the gun she used to shoot her boyfriend was located on a trash can in the corner of the yard. Deputy Merritt and Sgt. Haselden then taped the area off with crime scene tape securing the scene.

Pamela Walker stated to Deputy Moore around 0445 hours on September 27, 2014 someone dropped her boyfriend off at her residence and when he came inside he tried to make entry into her room. Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman kept trying to gain entry into her room and after a few minutes she opened the bedroom door and let him in.

Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman started looking all in her room and then went into the living room looking as well. Pamela Walker stated when they were in the living room and Bryan Walker threatened her life so she grabbed a baseball bat and was going to defend herself if needed.

Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman then took the baseball bat from her and started hitting her. Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman struck her in the lip with a closed fist causing a severe cut in her lip and also hitting her with a closed fist in the forehead.

Pamela Walker stated she then fell while proceeding to go out the front door. Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman then grabbed her and pulled her back inside the residence. Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman then made her take all her clothing off and go in the bathroom to get cleaned up.

Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman stated to her not to call the law just for her to go to her mother's residence and forget about it. Pamela Walker stated when she calmed Bryan Pittman down enough she went into her bedroom and called 911. Pamela Walker stated Bryan Pittman then came in the bedroom where she was at and asked her who she was on the phone with and she played it off like she was talking to her mother.
