TERRELL CO., GA (WALB) - Ag Commissioner, Gary Black, is set to visit South Georgia tomorrow and make a stop at Mark's Melon Patch in Terrell County.
Black is working to promote Agritourism in the State. Owner, Mark Daniel, says he plans to show Black their hay rides, pumpkin patch and activities for families. He says he's excited for the visit.
"Out here we certainly do push agritourism, getting people out here back to reconnect with the farm," said Mark Daniel, Mark's Melon Patch owner. "A lot of Fall family fun activities that we've got out here. It's quite an honor to have him select our place to come and highlight our area of the state. So we're real excited about him coming out here."
Black's visit is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
