ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Families have fun at an Albany Walmart to promote the opening of their first pumpkin patch.
Walmart officials on Cordele Road partnered with the Albany Fire Department for "Family Fun Day." Kids got to play in a bouncy house, enjoy free food, and learn fire safety tips. Walmart officials say families can come look at the pumpkins in their garden center and take pictures in front of their pumpkin house.
"Something to just keep the community involved with this Walmart," Jeeselyn Dyer, Walmart Assistant Manager. "Something new for the community, so we're trying it out, testing it out, get everybody involved with it."
"While we're doing the pumpkin patch, we're also raising money for the "Georgia Burn the Boot Foundation" and also for fire safety education," said Chief Sebon Burns, Albany Fire Department.
The pumpkin patch on Cordele Road will be open everyday through Halloween from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
