Ashburn hosting series of events to help boy with rare condition

ASHBURN, GA (WALB) - 4-year-old Lance Timmons  has Hunter's Syndrome, a condition caused by the body's inability to produce certain enzymes.

The community is hosting fundraiser's to help pay his medical bills.

The second annual Sausage and Music Festival Beauty Pageant will be held Friday, September 26 at 6:30 at the Old Ashburn Gymnasium to benefit the family.

“I didn't know the world was still so kind to do this for my son. And everybody has been amazing through it. You couldn't ask for a better team,” said Deidra Powell.

“We want to be a part of the community and be active in it and we like to do that by supporting the community,” said Johnny Walker, Carroll's Sausage.

A team Lance fundraiser and concert will be held October 18th at Carroll's Sausage. A raffle for a Big Tex utility trailer will be help and t-shirts available for purchase.
