A Bainbridge woman is recovering in the hospital after Police say she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Bainbridge Public Safety investigators said Sherritta Brown was visiting friends on North Miller Avenue Tuesday night.
While they were sitting on the front porch, they said they heard six gun shots fire.
One hit Brown in the right shoulder, and went straight through her back.
Bainbridge Public Safety Investigator Christopher Jordan said, “It seems to be that she was probably not the target because all of this is stemming from a fight earlier in the day.”
Brown is currently at the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, where she underwent surgery Wednesday morning.
