ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Close to two dozen arson investigators from across the state trained in Albany.
Monday the Albany Fire Department burned three abandoned homes, setting fire to them in different ways.
Wednesday 23 fire investigators from as far away as Covington studied the charred remains of the homes to determine how the fires were set. It's real life training they will take back home.
Moultrie Fire Department Fire Marshal Lavon Cooper said "We do train the other people in our departments. Show them what to look for, what we found. And teach them as well, yes."
Albany Firefighters video taped as they set the fires Monday, and the arson investigators got to see that after they finished their reports.
