Chain reaction wrecks send three to hospital

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Three people were transported to the hospital after being involved in a chain reaction multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning.

It happened at 8:05 at the intersection of North Slappey Blvd. and Dawson Road, in front of Krispy Kreme. The collisions blocked the southbound lanes.

APD says that Shanekia Battle,  31, driving a 1999 Ford Expedition, ran into John Green's 2004 Ford Expedition.

That caused him to hit the 1998 Ford Explorer driven by Dylan Cox, 23. Then Angela Palmer's 1998 GMC Suburban got hit. Palmer and her passenger were taken to the hospital, as was Green.

All four vehicles were traveling in the southbound lane traveling south.
