THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomas University students got a chance to meet with representatives from local businesses to get one step closer to employment.
This week's career interview fair featured Microft Inc., a new company searching for 30 relational manager positions for its Albany Call Center.
Students were able to get one on one time with employers to discuss their skills and interview for open positions.
The University's career center hopes these fairs will get students more confident about the job searching process.
Thomas University student Michael McCullough said, “We come here, we're learning how to do something, or we're learning about a specific business. And then we leave here saying, 'Hey, we can do this. This is something we can pursue, and we're interested in it!'”
Microft Inc. officials said the fair was so successful that they were able to schedule follow-up interviews with a few potential new student employees.
