VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Some students from all across South Georgia are now more knowledgeable about careers in construction and engineering.
Wiregrass Georgia Tech held its 3rd annual Careers in Construction and Engineering Fair Tuesday. 638 students signed up for the event, which featured demonstrations from nearly 20 businesses.
Many of the students were excited to learn about potential careers. "Just to get ideas of what I wanna do as far as work related and things like that. seeing what all we need as far as what certifications we need for other jobs and things like that," said Lynn Rice, a GED student at Wiregrass.
The college will hold a medical and health care job fair in November.
