Autopsy doesn't show cause of baby's death

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Just before 7:30 Monday morning, the Valdosta Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive child at 501-B E. Hill Avenue. Officers arrived and found that 14 month old Adalin Bridges  had died.

VPD said an autopsy completed by the GBI Tuesday afternoon was not able to determine the cause of death. As of Tuesday afternoon, investigators did not have any evidence to indicate whether a crime had been committed. "The people that were on scene, they did interview just as routine," said Valdosta Police Department Lieutenant Aaron Kirk. "They talked to anybody in the area they can talk to that might have potential information."

The state medical examiner is conducting further investigation into the case. The Valdosta Police Department continues to investigate the case and is working with the Medical Examiner and the District Attorney's Office.

Anyone having any further information regarding this case is asked to contact the Valdosta Police Department at 229-293-3145 or you can remain anonymous at 229-293-3091.
