ALBANY, GA (WALB) - This week is the official start of fall and there's a few things you can do to make sure your home will stay pest free.
Exterminators say it's important to keep your shrubbery and tree limbs cut down. Also, make sure there's no standing water around your home, and seal cracks in your walls.
"You know they'll get in your food and contaminate your food, then you have to throw all that kind of stuff away. So, we recommend that if you start having issues with ants to make sure that they are sealed up tight in containers," said Ben Tallent, Arrow Exterminators.
Common fall bugs include stink and kudzu bugs. If you see these in your home, exterminators say don't step on them because they can release a bad odor and stain your clothes.
