ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Area law enforcement officers were looking to handcuff a few birdies Friday afternoon.
Albany CrimeSTOPPERS held their seventh annual golf tournament today at Grand Island Golf Club.
Money raised from this event goes to pay out those who provide tips that lead to arrests in criminal cases.
A full field was playing this year including nine teams of law enforcement officers.
"To get the support of the Sheriff and our local Chiefs of Police really shows their buy-in for what we are doing and the partnership we have created over time," said Tournament Chairman Jamie Knight.
Dougherty County Sheriff Kevin Sproul and his department were looked to defend their law enforcement trophy.
Unfortunately, the tournament experienced a rain delay.
