ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Macon man says he is doing ok, after being hit with a gun and robbed behind an Albany Laundromat.
Now police are looking for those responsible.
24-year-old Kundan Patel returned to work Friday after being robbed Thursday night behind the Coin Laundromat on West Broad Avenue.
"I came to check my A/C unit over here because it was not working last night, and that's why I came to check my unit," said Patel.
That's when Patel said two men dressed in all black with guns came through a gate and attacked him.
"I don't know if the two guys were following me," said Patel.
They pushed Patel into a grassy area, hitting him in the back with a gun and ran away with 3 hundred dollars.
" They knocked me down here, and they hit the gun behind me, got my money and they just run this way," said Patel.
He said the men never said anything to him before leaving out of a back alleyway. He said it was too dark to identify the gunmen.
"I didn't see them because I was working on the back and check the A/C Unit. It's too dark over there. So I didn't see them," said Patel.
He was asked by a friend to manage the laundromat for a few days while he was out of town. He said he doesn't plan on going behind the building at night anytime soon.
He's just glad he wasn't hurt.
Patel said he will continue to work the next few days at the laundromat, but will only work in front of the building.
