ATLANTA, GA (WALB) - Georgia Power says it will conduct a controlled drawdown of Lake Chehaw/Lake Worth, for maintenance at the Flint River Hydro Plant.
The drawdown is scheduled to begin Wednesday, October 1 and will last until October 31. The drawdown is expected to be about 10 feet.
Officials said it will take several days for the lake to drop and several days after October 31 to bring operations back to full pull.
Lake residents are asked to secure their boats during the drawdown.
