ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany man celebrated his 100th birthday today.
"Mac" McIntyre and his friends with the Y-M-C-A Aquatics Breakfast Club celebrated with a party at the Cracker Barrel.
Mac and his wife Charlene swim at the Y and enjoy breakfast every month with the group.
He trained aircraft gunners during World War Two. Then worked as a mechanics supervisor at the Marine Base for 27 years.
He says he really doesn't have a secret for longevity.
"I don't know how I made it," said McIntyre. "I think good living, hard work. "
Mrs. McIntyre says Mac stays active working in his greenhouse and playing with his dog, but never gets in a hurry.
Happy Birthday Mac, and we hope many more.
