ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A state Republican leader urges South Georgians to support a couple of GOP lawmakers.
House Speaker Pro Tem Jan Jones met with party leaders this afternoon in Albany. She says Republicans can run on their record of increasing graduation rates and making Georgia the best place to do business. Jones says Representatives Gerald Greene and Ed Rynders do a good job of bringing non-partisan issues important to our area to the forefront.
"How can we bring jobs to Southwest Georgia," said Rep. Jan Jones, (R) Milton. "How can we make sure that young people have opportunities to grow up in the greatest state to live work and raise a family."
Rynders is running unopposed. Greene will face Democrat Ezekiel Holley in the November 4th General Election in District 151.
