THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Second Harvest of South Georgia is getting ready to hire a new staff for its Thomasville Kids Café Kitchen.

They opened a regional distribution center in May and will start using the new kitchen in the next couple weeks.

Right now, they're working to staff the kitchen and expand Second Harvest's partner base to be able reach more children farther west in the region.

Chief Marketing Officer Eliza McCall said, "We're thrilled to bring new jobs to the Thomas County area. To be able to, not only affect positive change by making sure kids get fed, but also affect the economy in a positive way as well."

Interviews for applicants start next week.

Anyone interested in applying should contact the Thomasville Department of Labor.

Any agencies interested in becoming a partner should visit the Second Harvest website at www.feedingsga.org
