ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany teenager has been sentenced to life in prison after he pleaded guilty to murder charges.
Emory Jones, 18, pleaded guilty on Monday to murdering 31-year-old Keekee Williams outside her home at Westwind Apartments.
It happened February 27, 2014 at the complex on Dawson Road.
Jones also pleaded guilty to armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Jones admitted he and 18-year-old Tye Revils went to the apartments to buy marijuana from Williams, and it escalated into an armed robbery. That's when Williams was shot and killed.
Jones' life sentence includes the possibility of parole.
Revils will go to trial for murder and armed robbery at a later date.
