Coat drive for South Georgians in need begins in Valdosta

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

As of Friday morning, donation boxes have been set up around Valdosta to help collect coats for those in need this Winter.

It's part of the South Georgia Partnership to End Homelessness's campaign to collect coats and other cold weather clothing and distribute them to those in need.

The donation boxes are located:

- All Valdosta fire stations

- First United Methodist Church in Valdosta (220 North Patterson Street)

- Deloach Physical Therapy in Valdosta (420 Northside Drive)

- Merchant Home Medical service in Valdosta (3183 Inner Perimmeter Road)

- South Georgia Partnership to End Homelessness office in Valdosta (601 North Lee Street)

Items can be dropped off until November 4th, and then they will be distributed on November 8th from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Businesses interested in becoming a donation location can contact the SGPEH office in Valdosta at 229-293-7301.
