BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - Bainbridge's new Department of Driver Services building is now open for business.
The once vacant Bainbridge Welcome Center space has been renovated into a place many residents say they desperately needed.
The Mayor along with commissioners and representatives gathered on Thursday to cut the ribbon and welcome new customers.
State Representative Darlene Taylor said the building won't just add convenience to drivers in Bainbridge.
Taylor said, “It is going to actually bring jobs here. So I'm very excited about it. And the community has received us so openly and they're very delighted to have it. As we all are.”
The Bainbridge DDS just released a pre-apply online option for customers.
You can fill out applications online from home or on your tablet before coming to the building to cut down on wait-time.
