Investigators say a man charged with multiple burglaries in at least three south Georgia counties continued those crimes across the country until he was captured in Colorado Wednesay.
42-year-old Jason Semrau was arrested trying to sell merchandise at a pawn shop in Aurora, Colorado. Investigators say he is the man caught on camera breaking into a Dougherty County home last month.
He's also wanted for burglaries in Terrell and Turner counties.
"We were able through investigative techniques you could say, we were able to track him to Colorado. Where he was pawning stuff there," said DCP's Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick.
The merchandise police say Semrau stole and sold to pawn shops will now be returned to its owners.
