THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -  50 new jobs are coming to Thomasville.

The Georgia Department of Economic Development announced today that Oilon will open its first U.S. office and warehouse in an empty space at Jackson and Lee Streets.

The company will start hiring in the next couple of months.

Executive Director of the Thomasville Thomas County Development Authority Shelley Zorn said, "They make the components, the burners, inside industrial boilers. We're very pleased to have them.  They're originally from Finland."

The company chose to open its first office in Thomasville to be close to its key customers as well as because of the area's skilled workforce.
