ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany city commissioner wants public input on potential improvements to roads and sidewalks.
Commissioner Roger Marietta encourages you to attend the Dougherty Area Regional Transportation Study's two public workshops September 18th.
The public hearings will help decide where state transportation money will be spent.
"This is the hearing that you need to be at, to bring those issues out," said Marietta. "Let people know I see a need for sidewalks in the city."
Marietta says if folks don't speak up, money may go to other communities.
The first workshop will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on September 18th at the Albany Police meeting room on East Oglethorpe Boulevard.
The second will be from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Government Center downtown.
