MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Several agencies work together to make sure drivers are following the rules of the road in Colquitt County.
Troopers from the Georgia State Patrol Task Force and deputies from the Colquitt County Sheriff Office conducted road checks Friday night around the county from 7:00PM to 3:00AM.
Officers issued multiple citations for various offenses.
"It will not be tolerated. If you're going to get out and risk you're life and the life of others driving under the influence, you're going to get caught either by us or the state patrol or a local agency," Sheriff's Lt. Randy Stephens.
17 people were given DUI citations for alcohol or drugs.
