Bank employees allowed to return after bomb threat

DAWSON, GA (WALB) - Employees at the Bank of Dawson have been allowed to return after authorities searched the area for a potential bomb.

The bank was closed for about 90 minutes during the search, and a bomb-sniffing dog from Albany Police Department was brought in and cleared the building around 12:15 p.m.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation also inspected the bank.

The bank, however, will be closed for the rest of the day.
