WARWICK, GA (WALB) - The city of Warwick is one step closer to having a permanent police chief.
Albany Police officer Prurince Dice, current interim Warwick Police chief Yvette Miller, and Worth County Deputy Dustin Stephenson have been named the three finalists for the position.
Former Chief David Morris was fired in July.
Mayor Juanita Kinchens said she wants a new culture in the department.
"They believe they have candidates here that understand that and will carry out what the council feels is an appropriate relationship between the council and the police department and the public," said City Attorney Tommy Coleman.
The final decision will be made within 14 days.
