Some residents in an Albany neighborhood are concerned about safety in the neighborhood after a shooting sends one man to the hospital.

Albany police continue their investigation into the shooting of a 23-year-old Albany man who was shot while playing cards at a home in the 500 block of North Cleveland St. Police say Corey Williams was shot three times on the side of his stomach. One woman says she overheard a gunshot while she was inside her home.

"I came outside and it was just chaos out here,” said Vonteresa Green. “It was children running. People were running inside of my house."

Green says she is worried for the children living in the neighborhood.

"It's the kids you know, it's the kids,” said Green. “You can't be really safe in your house anymore. Because the kids are our future so, we've got to kind of take a better look, or stronger look, or do some more to keep certain stuff away from them."

Williams was treated and released from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. So far, no arrests have been made.
