ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Chehaw raises money to support two Albany charity organizations.
They held their first Charity Cornhole Tournament Saturday. At least 30 teams of professional and non-professional cornhole players participated in the event. They're raising money to benefit Chaos Baseball and Wakefest. Chehaw officials say it's important to give back to the community.
"As a community partner ourselves we understand how important it is to support different things in the community, so we are happy whenever we can give back as well," said Morgan Burnette, Chehaw PR Coordinator. "So we're going to start doing these tournaments and hopefully help out some other organizations in the community."
There is a $300 prize for the winner and they also received cornhole boards.
