MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - Organizers in Moultrie are preparing for a Farmers Showcase on Saturday.
Georgia Grown will have their first Farmers Showcase at the Moultrie State Farmers Market. More than 40 Georgia Grown vendors from around the state will participate in the event. There will be live music and plenty of activities for children. Organizers say Colquitt County plays a huge role in the state's agricultural industry.
"Colquitt County is the largest agricultural county in the state of Georgia," said Tommie Beth Willis, Packer Produce Manager. "So we are kind of like an ideal place to host a Georgia Grown Farmers Showcase. A majority of the produce that is grown in Georgia is grown right here in the state of Georgia."
The showcase is free. It starts Saturday at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 3:00 p.m.
