ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Another new business has made its way to downtown Albany.
The Casket House on Broad Avenue cut the ribbon Thursday.
Owner Gregory Harris wants to give south Georgians a cheaper place to buy caskets.
Before the opening of Casket House, the closest store of this kind was in Macon.
“I just want to be a servant to the people. Give them a different option that they can buy. Let them know that they don't have to go to the funeral home. They can come to the casket house and buy from me,” said owner Gregory Harris.
Harris says his caskets are about 40 percent cheaper than funeral homes.
