Dooly Co. Sheriff searches for robbery trio

UNADILLA, GA - (WALB) - Three weeks ago, on Sunday night, August 17th, just before 10:00, three men ran into the Dollar General at 1342 Pine Street, in Unadilla.

All three were wearing gloves and masks, and one of them had a weapon. 

One of the men stayed at the front of the store as a lookout, and the other two forced the manager and a clerk to cash register area to get into the safe. Cash, cell phones, and cigarettes were stolen from the store.

The three male robbers are described as follows:


5' 08" to 5' 10", Medium build, wearing black shirt, pants just below knee, and tennis type shoes.



6' 00" to 6' 02",  Slender build,wearing black shirt and jeans, dark shoes, carrying a weapon and a back pack.



5' 08" to 5' 10", Medium build, wearing dark clothing and dark shoes.

The Dooly County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance from the Public. If anyone has knowledge or identity of these three subjects to contact Investigator Randy Lamberth at 229-645-0920.

    Students in Dougherty County will have their state testing a bit later this year.  After seeing how many days students missed in January, the state is allowing them to take the test one week later.  Students will take their Georgia Milestones the week of April 24th.
