Meeting announced for GA State Plan on Aging

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Department of Human Services Division of Aging Services will hold five public hearings to solicit consumer input for its State Plan on Aging.

The 2015-2019 State Plan, will describe the values, resources, goals and strategies designed to maximize the independence, well-being, and health of older adults, people with disabilities, and their family and caregivers.

 The Division of Aging is interested in receiving input from older adults, persons with disabilities, family caregivers, agencies and advocacy groups serving these individuals, and other interested parties.

   Albany's meeting is set for September 9, 2014 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Senior Life Enrichment Center at 335 W. Society Ave.  It is co-sponsored by the Southwest Georgia Area Agency on Aging.
