SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

The renovated library in Sylvester shows off its new look.

The Margaret Jones Public Library hosted an open house Tuesday evening. It has new ceilings, lighting, and carpet. People also got a chance to see new books and technology services the library has to offer.

"The building is about 27 years old,” said Leigh Wiley, Library Director. It just needed a little face lift from use over the years. We're just preparing for the next generation of users hopefully for the next 20 or 25 years of folks to come in."

The library is open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
