SBI agents investigates officer-involved shooting in Robeson County

ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - An investigation has been opened by North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation agents after a Robeson County deputy was involved in an officer-related shooting.

After arriving at a disturbance call early Monday morning, the suspect reportedly fired a shot at the deputy, Sheriff Sealy said.

The deputy then shot the suspect in the face.

The incident happened early Monday at 3:20 a.m.

Injuries to the suspect are non life-threatening, Sealy said.
