Felony murder charge added against man arrested in Rude Rudy's incident

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

The Statesboro Police Dept. has added a felony murder charge against Grant Spencer, the man arrested after an incident at Rude Rudy's in Statesboro. Spencer was previously arrested and charged with aggravated battery.

The victim, Michael Gatto, received head injuries as a result of the altercation and was unresponsive upon officers' arrival. Gatto later died.

The Statesboro Police Dept. Criminal Investigations Bureau added the charge after completion of an autopsy by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab.
