VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police are looking for the suspect or suspects who fired multiple shots outside a Valdosta home early Monday morning.

At 2:35 a.m. Monday, 23 year-old Shakendra Battles was standing outside her home at 1808 N. Lee Street with two other people when a black car drove by and fired multiple shots in the direction of the house.

Valdosta Police Department Lieutenant Aaron Kirk said Tuesday morning that it's not clear what the intended target was. "We're not sure if it's a random act. Typically, someone doesn't just drive by your house and fire, there's got to be some type of reason," Kirk stated. "Not sure at this time [what that reason may be]. According to the victim, she's not aware of why they would do this."

No one was hurt and the home was also not hit by any of the bullets. So far, Kirk said, police have not recovered any bullet fragments or shell casing from the home.

Call Valdosta Police if you have any information.
