Wanted Cordele man now in custody

CORDELE, GA (WALB) - A Cordele murder suspect is in jail. Meddric Glover turned himself in Tuesday morning at the Crisp County jail after being charged for the death of 35-year old Deon Ray.

Neighbors say Glover punched Deon Ray in the face at Morningside Homes the night of August 27th.

Ray died after his head hit the concrete.

"Right now our focus is, now that he's been located and in jail, we'll be able to move forward with the prosecution part of it," said Detective Andrew Roufs of the Cordele Police Department. "We feel good that we have some good information on what happened and the evidence is good as well."

Cordele Police charged Glover with murder.

The DA will decide exact charges later.
