Remains found in fire likely father of suspect

NORENE, TN (WSMV) -

The body of a man found inside a burned out home in Wilson County is believed to be the father of a suspect in a police chase.

Alan Mooney Jr. was arrested Saturday after leading police through two counties.

His father, Alan Mooney Sr., hasn't been heard from since his home was set on fire Friday night.

A body was found inside the home, and while there's no positive identification, Wilson County Sheriff Robert Bryan told The Lebanon Democrat it is likely the body of Alan Mooney Sr.

His son is currently not facing arson or homicide charges. He is in jail for other crimes related to this case.
