SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - A Sylvester organization called the "Men United Club" held "Kids in the Park Day" at Jeffords Park.
There was free food, bounce houses, and a dunking booth. The organization works to help keep kids off the streets. Volunteers say positive role models make a difference in kid's lives.
"As men, we need to be responsible for our community, our kids upbringing," said Issac Adams, Men United Club Public Relations Officer. "We got to help each other. We need to help each other out. I think that's what it's all about. It's a thing that we need to help tag along with our community and help raise our kids. It takes more than one to raise a kid in the community."
Kids also got free tooth brushes and candy apples. They also learned fire safety tips from the Sylvester Fire Department.
