ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Football season is here and for many that means tailgating and grilling.

College campuses may have restrictions about certain grills and fryers, so experts say you should make sure to double check before setting up.

They say safety is key when grilling.

Grills are best kept in an open area away from children and pets.

To avoid fires, make sure coals are cool before throwing them away.

While charcoal grills are a popular favorite, others opt for portable grills that can snap out of a stand.

Mark Holloway with Modern Gas said his business has been busy.

"Folks are definitely coming in getting their [propane] bottle filled. Just a guy a few minutes ago came through here on the way to Auburn. He had his camper and was getting his bottle filled, ready to head that direction," said Holloway.
