Trailer holding appliances stolen from bank parking lot

MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - A trailer was stolen from a Moultrie bank parking lot in broad daylight.

Video shows a dark Chevy truck in the parking lot of Ameris Bank Sunday, August 24.

Two men back up to a trailer and spend several minutes hooking up the trailer that had a washer, dryer and several other appliances on it.

Police recovered the empty trailer on Bill Lewis Road.

“These brand new items are still out there. We just want to put the word out to contractors if someone sells them or recycling centers with brand new appliances this should throw up red flags,” said David Jones.

Norris McClendon was arrested early Thursday morning after a woman called police after she complained he was banging at her door. He is charged with Theft by Taking.
