SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -  A Sylvester library is opening its doors to the community to celebrate its fresh new look.

The Margaret Jones Public library is hosting an Open House on Tuesday night, September 2 from 5 to 7 p.m.

It has been under construction for the past two years, and employees say it was time for a makeover.

Director Leigh Wiley said she can't wait for the community to experience the new renovations.

Wiley said, "I just want the community to come out and see their tax dollars at work and see what we've been able to do."

Wiley invites the entire community to come watch the ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday evening.

And September is Library card month, so if you don't have a card, Wiley says to stop by and get one.
