Tift County first responders can now communicate better.
The Emergency Management Agency recently installed this new radio system.
The 8000 mega hertz digital system supports public safety agencies and general government operations in Tift County in case of emergencies.
We can get the right people to the right place in a timely manner. A lot more flexibility from a communications management standpoint as far as directly or personnel in the field,” said Jason Jones, Emergency Management Director.
This is the first radio upgrade after 15 years for the county.
