ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

South Georgia motorcyclists got together to remember an Albany fire inspector killed in a motorcycle crash in Lee County.

The Dan Harden Motorcycle Awareness Ride was held today at the Post 30 American Legion on Gillonville Road. Riders rode their bikes to Andersonville and back. They also got a course in motorcycle safety. 13-year-old Kenzi Thomas raised $300 for the Georgia Firefighter's Burn Foundation.

"I decided to go on facebook and just message everybody and let them know that I was raising money and asked them if they would like to donate,” said Kenzi Thomas.

"I'd recommend for all motorcycle riders, it doesn't matter how many years of experience you got, is to train and take all of the training you can get,” said Toby Philips, Motorcycle Safety Demonstrator.

Raffle tickets were also sold for Harley Davidson t-shirts and other motorcycle apparel. Officials say the goal is to raise $2500 for the Georgia Firefighter's Burn Foundation.
